I am told that it does have a removable SIM but, here is the big
problem, you are now required to sign a contract before taking it
out of shop. This will certainly curtail the unlocking market. If I
was able to get an unlocked 3G one I would bang it on Vodafones new
5Gb for €29.99 a month package.its available as an add-on to your
existing vodafone account.
I'm working on getting a new iPhone and then getting it unlocked
from O2 prior to using a different service for reduced charges
while roaming with data.

If a removable SIM is important, you should check to ensure the new iPhone has one. I'm getting mixed reports on that.
